You may be wondering what does the morning after pill have to do with weddings. For anyone in event planning, you would know that every event needs an emergency plan. No matter how everything seems to be figured out, does not mean the Caribbean weather will always be gracious.
Earlier this year, we were connected with a sweet bride. She was in need of a planner with her wedding in less than 3 months. Naturally we were excited, but also skeptical as to why she waited this long to plan. After meeting her, we were at ease. She was the perfect Walkers' Bride, a heart of gold.
As we continued to plan her intimate wedding, it was evident why the universe connected us with her. One week before the Big Day, the weather gave us a scare. But being positive, we were praying that the weather prediction would change in 5 days. During the walk through, we checked the weather, again, as it was raining, and the app said it was going to be the same the following day.
The bride was worried, but we already had a plan. Though the plan would mean giving up the beautiful view, it meant that our guests wouldn't be running from the rain. We transformed the living room into the ceremony area. Called our trusted vendors late that night and they came came through with draping.
The day was still romantic, everyone was dry and most importantly the couple was more than happy. Here are some pictures of the hall before and after.
We still managed to capture the view once the skies cleared up. Her guests still managed to party and had a memorable time. Like we say, "When it has to be Absolutely Special.."
Shineca and Milton were the perfect clients for the Walkers. They understood that we don't control the weather (Although we wish we did!) and left plan B in our hands. Having clients that trust you makes the job easier.
